Hot Dog Pie recipe

I found this recipe a few years ago in a Taste of Home cookbook and my family went nuts for it. We probably have it about 6-8 times a year. It's very high in protein, so it's very fulfilling.

Hot Dog Pie

1 refrigerated pie crust
1 16 oz. can Boston baked beans
3/4 pound ground beef
5-6 hot dogs cut-up
mustard
ketchup
brown sugar
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
5-6 slices american cheese

Brown the hamburger meat and drain. While the meat is browning, bake the pie crust (with fork holes in it) for about 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

After the meat has been browned and drained, add the baked beans, hot dogs, and cheese. Add as much mustard, ketchup, and brown sugar as you need to add flavor to the mixture.

Pour the meat mixture into the pie crust and make a lattice top with the american cheese slices. Bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Delicious!!!
